Can you think of a circumstance when one half could be more than one whole?  Explain.

    Yes,because a pizza is bigger than a pie and half of a pizza is bigger than a pie.

    well, if the whole number is a mixed number, and if it was 1 and 1/2, maybe the 1/2 would be more?
